Hollow out the bottom half of the pineapple, keeping it intact to use as the cocktail glass. Add the pineapple flesh (including the core) to the base of a high-powered blender. (Reserve the top half of the pineapple for another use.) Add the whiskey and passionfruit puree to the blender and blend until thoroughly combined. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a small pitcher or something with a spout. Add ice to the pineapple "glass" and pour in the cocktail. Garnish with the amaro cherry.
